Artifacts constituyen, en conjunto, una de las mejores recopilaciones de tomas piratas de The Beatles.

Tiene de todo, tomas en vivo, ensayos, outtakes, etc.

Lo bueno es que, además, esta colección comprende toda la carrera de los Fab Four, desde 1958 hasta 1970 e incluso los comienzos de las carreras solistas.

Esta colección tiene una calidad de audio excelente teniendo en cuenta lo precario de alguna de las grabaciones ofrecidas.

La primer caja de cinco discos, fue editada en 1993 por el sello Big Music, y va desde Liverpool en 1958 hasta las grabaciones en el Twickenham Studios en el año 1969.
